Made with a perfect balance of sweet ripe mangoes and tangy raw mangoes, this classic drink is incredibly easy, cost-effective, and loved by kids and adults alike. Follow my step-by-step recipe to get that perfect market-style smooth texture and taste right at home.

Wash the ripe mangoes and raw mango (kairi) thoroughly. Peel them and chop them into small pieces.
In a deep pan or kadhai, add the chopped ripe mangoes and raw mango pieces. Pour enough water so that all the pieces are completely submerged. Cover with a lid and bring it to a boil over medium heat.
Once the raw mango pieces become soft and tender, add the sugar and mix well. Cook for a few more minutes until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture thickens slightly.
Turn off the flame. Strain the mixture using a sieve to separate the mango pieces from the liquid. Do not discard this sweet mango water; reserve it for later.
Transfer the boiled mango and raw mango pieces into a mixer grinder. Blend them into a super smooth, fine puree without adding extra water.
Combine the smooth mango puree back into the reserved sweet mango water. Whisk or stir thoroughly until completely uniform. If the mixture is too thick, add chilled water to adjust it to a perfect Frooti-like consistency.
Pass the prepared mango drink through a fine-mesh strainer once again to remove any remaining mango fibers. This ensures an ultra-smooth, velvety texture just like the store-bought Frooti.
Pour the fresh homemade Frooti into clean glass bottles or jars. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours until chilled, and serve cold!
